Early Life & Biography
Kenneth Bednarek was born on 14 October, 1998 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. He was born with his fraternal twin brother Ian. Kenny and his brother took part in youth track in second grade. Kenneth won seven individual state titles and became leader of his team. His record of 20.43 was the highest 200m score in 2018.
Apart from track running he is also into football and basketball. He play football and scored 17 touchdowns as a wide receiver, kick returner and on jet sweeps.His popularity in terms of his name was revealed by his participation in the Olympics 2020 Summer as well as World Championship games which were held in 2021 season.
Kenny’s Rice Lake Warriors teams won both track and football in state Championships. He tried to get admission in four-year university but was rejected and he took admission in Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. In one of this talk, he said, “I planned to go to university after JUCO, but God had a different plan for me.”
In Indian Hills, Kenneth Bednarek ran fastest in 200m indoor game. Due to this, he is known as the second fastest athlete in indoor season. This ranked him on 13th individual on the all time indoor list.
In 2008, Kenneth Bednarek broke his own record by running 200m in 20.43 seconds which was 21.05 seconds before. This lead him to second fastest athlete in the world.
A native of the United States, Kenneth is a sprinter. He went to Rice Lake High School. He has been the American Junior Champion from the year 2017-2018. Along with that he has won many championships too like Northern Athletics Conference Championships in 2018 along with WIAA State Championships in 2019 at Division 1 level.

Kenneth has represented US every year since 2015 at IAAF World Championships. He won only one bronze medal during 2017 edition held in London where Kenneth clocked 20.43 seconds breaking his own previous record time of 20.53 seconds. During his career, Kenneth Bednarek has seen some really great successes. He earned an individual gold medal in 100m at 2018 Drake Relays (T20) in Des Moines, Iowa. Kenneth Bednarek was the first person who ran against negative wind of -0.8 and is known as the strongest hindering wind that any athlete face yet. Kenneth ran against this wind and break the 19.95 record with his 19.82.
